About

You may recognize Michelle Lacey from around town. She’s treated community members and performed injury screening at Wasilla Warrior Wrestling Tournaments, Rodeo Alaska gatherings, Mount Marathon Race, Gold Nugget Triathlon and many other events. She is a lifelong Alaskan, born and raised in Anchorage and a graduate of Service High School.

Ms. Lacey holds a doctorate of physical therapy, having graduated with distinction from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in psychology – graduating suma cum laude – from Minnesota State University/Moorhead in Moorhead, Minnesota. Always eager to learn the latest technique to help her patients, she has completed many continuing education courses – covering in virtually every joint in the body – as well as dry needling, myofascial manipulation, nutrition and vestibular rehabilitation for concussion patients.

Prior to joining OPA, she practiced in Wasilla and provided mentorship opportunities for aspiring PTs and PTAs by co-treating patients, discussing cases during rounds and teaching through practicing manual skills and techniques. She was also a clinical instructor to 3rd-year PT students.

As an athlete herself, she has always had a passion for helping all types of athletes – school, professional and weekend warriors. Her patients at OPA appreciate her innovative solutions and enthusiastic, motivational style that help ensure successful therapeutic results.
