Jennifer Forsberg, PT, DPT, ATC

Ms. Forsberg earned both her master's and her doctorate degrees in physical therapy from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO. Prior to that, she completed her bachelor's degree in biology, with a minor in athletic training from Luther College, Decorah, IA. She is also a certified athletic trainer.

Ms. Forsberg worked as a physical therapist and athletic trainer at Bellin Health Connection in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where her patients included Green Bay Packer pro football players. Her duties included working as a sole provider of physical therapy services at a satellite facility. She has also worked as a traveling physical therapist, providing outpatient and inpatient physical therapy, and wound care to patients in Washington, Ohio, Alaska, and Michigan.

Ms. Forsberg moved to Alaska in 2004 and worked as a physical therapist in a clinic providing outpatient care for pediatric through geriatric populations presenting with acute, chronic and post-operative spine, orthopedic, sports and general musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. During much of this time, she was also earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) through distance learning and on-site testing and training in St. Louis. A natural leader, Ms. Forsberg then served as clinic director and in this role she provided both patient care and management of all aspects of daily clinic operations.

She is an accomplished public speaker and has delivered physical therapy presentations to community groups, local medical providers and sports coaches. She was a speaker for the Sports Med Symposium in 2006 and was a facilitator, editor and co-author for an interdisciplinary "Senior Sensitivity" program from 2003-2004.

Ms. Forsberg has volunteered her time with numerous organizations, including everything from Habitat for Humanity to serving as athletic trainer for the Mat Valley Maulers men's rugby team. In addition, she is an engaging communicator with a tremendous breadth of both physical therapy and athletic training experience. She has been a clinical instructor and mentor to PT, PTA and AT graduates and her upbeat, confident approach are also of tremendous benefit to her patients.
